oh, and to reply to post above, the maths is wrong. If ur max health is 1000, and u drop to 400, then GB does 300, as it is half the difference.

lol, you should make sure everything you say is accurate before you start calling me a moron (implied). Apparently your idea of what the skill did was innaccurate as well.
I do thank you, however, for the useful info about what the calculations are based on -- max health after runes and before weapon/offhand-- can anyone else confirm this? I will have to check it out...been to busy with oblivion I guess...

You only lose health if you're damaged.
If you have 480/480 health, and you use Grenth's Balance on a foe with 1/480 health, it has no effect.
If you have 479/480 health, and you use Grenth's Balance on a foe with 1/480 health, you lose 239 health, and they gain 239 health.
Edit: Picture taken a few moments ago-
Edit: Actually, scratch that. I think I'm wrong on that aspect.
It seems to be more like;
If you have 420/480 health, and you use Grenth's Balance on a foe with 1/480 health, you lose 60 health, and they gain 60 health.
But it doesn't behave as I described it twice before. For that, I apologize x_x

Thats strange, i JUST went to the isles upon reading this thread. With a necro/monk.
Skills were GB, Vital Blessing (12 prot), and Blood Renewel with 0 in blood.
I cast Vital on myself so I'd be TOTALLY sure I have alot more health than the armor. I was at ~700 health (~500 before vital).
First test:
Straight using GB when we were both full health did nothing like expected.
Second Test:
Dmg'ed the armor until it had ~10 hp left. I kept full health. Again nothing happened when I GB'ed.
(This proved it isn't EXACTLY backwards, since if it worked exactly backwards it would of worked in this test, since the opponent [me in this case] doesnt have to have low health for GB to work, only you [the armor in this case])
Third Test:
Kept armor at ~10hp, then used Blood Renewel (25% sac), so I'd have less than max health, then quickly used GB. AGAIN nothing happened.
So I concluded quite finally that I couldn't make GB dmg me.
I'll go back tonight, and do tests without enhanced hp from vital.

I dont know if you guys are testing something else, but Grenth's Ballance does heal enemy if your hp is higher.

Temporary link to a FRAPs'd video of Grenth's Balance. It's a bit low quality, but that's the only way to keep the size down. You can still see that the practice target gets smacked around to almost dead, and then I use Grenth's Balance, causing it to become healed to about halfway.
I'm uploading it on to Google Video, but verification takes time, so until then, the 'yousendit' link will have to do.

Just tested again (just got home). Without Vital on, and it acted reverse like It normally does.
Somehow though, My Vital Blessing testings through it off.
And it still isnt EXACTLY backwards, becuase its still only working if you are under max health, and it wouldnt be like that if it was completely backwards (as in counting you as the foe and them as you).
